This tribute to Latinos in America is long overdue. It can truly be said that America would not be the nation she is today, were it not for the undeniable and profound influence of men and women from every Latin country in the world. These people came to America not to take what they could get, but to give what they could not keep to themselves. They made sacrifices, set an example, led with humility, created with passion. . . some even gave the ultimate sacrifice, their own lives, to honor, protect, and cherish this great nation. These unforgettable American citizens enriched this country with their language, culture, warmth, passion, loyalty, and love.
Este tributo a los latinos en Estados Unidos está muy atrasado. Con verdad se puede decir que América no sería la nación que es hoy, si no fuera por la innegable y profunda influencia de hombres y mujeres de todos los países latinos del mundo. Estas personas vinieron a Estados Unidos no para tomar lo que pudieran obtener, sino para dar lo que no podían guardar para sí mismos. Hicieron sacrificios, dieron ejemplo, lideraron con humildad, crearon con pasión. . . algunos incluso dieron el máximo sacrificio, sus propias vidas, para honrar, proteger y cuidar a esta gran nación.
